About the Author

My name is Paul Found. I am Head of Classics in a UK secondary school and a Classics PhD student with Royal Holloway University of London where I am focussed on Augustus and more specifically, the text of the res gestae.

I am a frequent visitor to Rome, partly to search out surviving material from the Augustan and Julio-Claudian period and also because I simply love the city, the people, the food and the culture. 

This blog will attempt to record my findings and capture what is so compelling about the eternal city.
